KEEPER NOTE Ostrich

The ostrich is the largest flightless bird, and also the fastest, clocking in at 43 mph. It’s also the 3rd fastest land animal, behind the cheetah at 58 mph and the lion at 50 mph. 

Our ostriches are Tutenkammen (Tut) and Nefertiri (Neffie). PLEASE NOTE that although it seems like Tut wants to be petted or wants a snack, he is NOT to be trusted. Ever. He’s very tricky, and very cranky.

NEVER PUT ANYTHING OVER THE WALL INTO THE EXHIBIT, especially body parts.
